Perennial in zones 4-7, Nepeta cataria. A cultivar that is known to make cats go crazy and get playful!  It has also been used in traditional medicine for generations. Catnip can be grown in many locations, is not invasive, and it is easy to grow.  Make it into an herbal tea to soothe cold and flu symptoms.  Info & Seed Source: MIgardener

Plant is in a 2" pot, and several inches tall currently.  Plants reach 2-3' tall so plan to give them some room to grow.
