A great variety for the home gardener. Leeks are in the onion family. The American Flag Leek has a milder and sweeter flavor than most onions. Not only is it a close relative to onion, but to garlic as well. The large white stems grow in girth as the leeks mature giving them green flat leaves. Leeks give a taste of light onion flavor to soups, stews, or even quiche. This variety can endure cold weather.
There are several plants per 3-4" pot, and they are about 8" tall currently. Local pickup only, we are not shipping live plants.
